Planned tasks:
Task 3.1
Study of the technological conditions for the synthesis of garnet pigments and determination of the optimal parameters of synthesis – temperature of firing, temperature of retention, type and quantity of mineralizers.
Deliverable
Determined technological conditions for the synthesis of garnet pigments and specified optimal synthesis parameters – temperature of firing and temperature of retention.
Task 3.2
Investigation of the properties of the obtained garnet pigments by X-ray analysis, IR spectroscopy, electronic paramagnetic resonance, electron microscopy, determination of color coordinates (by Lovibont Tintometer RT 100 Colour).
Deliverable
Full characterization of garnet pigments by all possible methods.
Task 3.3
Synthesis of pigments by solid-phase sintering and the sol-gel method.
Comparison of the obtained pigments by both methods with respect to the amount of garnets synthesized through the X-ray analysis, the synthesis temperature, the pigment structure, etc.
Comparison of quality and properties of synthesized pigments from pure and waste raw materials.
Deliverable
Established optimal conditions for the synthesis of garnet pigments, most suitable for practical application. Obtained and characterized garnet pigments.
Results, which will be used for evaluation of the intermediate or final report of the project
Articles with project’s results to be published in reputable journal with an impact factor / impact rang.
